Found a recipe (thanks Pinterest) for Coconut bread that calls for one cup of dessicated coconut. I have checked a couple of grocery stores and didn't find it. I do have the sweetened flaked coconut. I googled and the only substitutes I saw suggested for the dessicated coconut were oats or nuts but that seems to defeat the purpose of coconut bread.
Can I use the sweetened flakes or would that mess up the recipe? Here's the recipe:
