I am SO upset about my new Vitamix being broken. I have been using it multiple times a day, I totally love it and last night it started leaking. I was hoping that maybe a little was spilled out and that it didn't really leak but I used it again today and it is definitely leaking from the bottom of the container onto the base of the unit while in use.

QVC said we could return it for a refund or we could contact Vitamix to have it repaired. I didn't want to spend weeks without it AND had just bought a ton of groceries specifically for my Vitamix.

Luckily I had seen a post on here about Costco having the 5200 model on sale since they have just released a newer model. My Costco is small and doesn't carry them regularly, just have road shows occasionally. I called one town over and they did have them in stock, the 5200 model on sale for $5 LESS than the TSV so I flew over there arriving 15 minutes before they closed and got one and have my TSV packed up to return in the morning to QVC.

I hope this isn't going to be one of those cases of a TSV being so quickly mass produced that they have a quality control issue and other peoples will leak too. I bought the Keurig TSV a couple of years ago that crapped out on everyone. Replaced it with a Breville and it works like a charm.

Hopefully mine was a fluke but if you got the most recent Vitamix TSV watch for it leaking from the bottom and check your local Costco if you need to return yours because I am sure at this price the 5200's they have left are going to fly out the doors. Also the Costco one has the large container and the 7 year warranty.

BTW the 5200 on the Costco website is still $499, only the ones in stock in stores it seems have had the price lowered to 374.50.
