@Reever I have to agree with you; it's disgusting.  He and Sharon (I had to go look up the person via her picture) just shovel it in fork after fork. Do they think they make the food look MORE appetizing by the constant eating of it? They come off as pigs, nothing more, shoveling down the food at the trough. I posted this somewhere else (didn't know their names at the time) but I had it on in the background and DH walked by and went "Whoa, do they starve themselves in order to eat so much so fast? They look desperate for the food. Pretty bad".

He was right. FIrst and last time I watched them eating. If they come on...CLICK goes the channel. I've seen OTHER people eat food on a show without the fork after fork of food constantly going into their mouths; talking with food in their mouths; interrupting the vendor to talk about the food in their mouths; sticking their fork into everything possible. Gross.

So, @Reever, I hear ya. I truly do.

Maybe we should all start eating in front of a mirror and see how we look to others. Maybe each of us is just as disgusting as some think these hosts are.

I enjoy watching the food shows.  Usually I am reading or doing a crossword with the television on mute.

I have no trouble averting my eyes when Dan and Sharon are taking a bite(or several).

I can't stand watching their OTT antics.

I am sure most of the food presented tastes good.  I would expect them to say it did anyway.  They are trying to make a sale.

But, this head shaking, eye rolling, lip smacking show they put on looks so fake.  What's the point?  All it says to me is they are gluttons and will eat anything.

Perhaps Dan should turn up his nose and refuse to eat on food shows.  That'd sure get more sales.

Come on!  Leave Dan and the hosts alone.  They are salespeople and they have a job to do.  They're doing what higher ups want them to.  

That doesn't mean you will like every host or show.  I sure don't.  I don't watch much Q at all anymore.   Just stop being mean.

Dan has a pleasant voice, calm manner, and does not play with the food....he eats it!    You are supposed to eat food.
