I don't watch live. I just check in here to find out information about products and to share what I know. If I do see a show out of interest I expect the host to be "full in" enjoying what they sell. It is natural to see the presenters enjoying what they sell. They all do it in their own way.
I was once at a road show and the QVC local host(name escapes me) was asked a question.. HOW DO YOU SELL WHAT YOU REALLY DON'T LIKE. His answer: I owe it to the public to demonstrate the product the best I can. It may not be to my liking but somone out there might want it and will appreciate me telling all about it.

ITA with you ....I wanted to tell "Reever" that for dog and cat food commercials that they actually do "starve" the pet in order to have the appearance that the animal actually finds that hideous canned dog or cat food tasty. I doubt if QVC does that to their hosts. ;-)

If you haven't purchased any of the foods and find them overpriced, then why on earth would you watch and why on earth would care how much Dan eats?
Zeesh, they are trying to SELL food. Tasting it and going YUM is part of the sales pitch.
If it isn't Sharon, it's Dan. Silly threads always complaining about someone chewing, talking with their mouth full, eating too much etc. Let's give it a rest!

If you think the Q's food presentations are awful, never watch one on Evine. I watched Skip "present" with Sig Hansen fish and seafood from Deadliest Catch. It was truly unbelievable. He was honestly shoving food into his face every single second - I really couldn't believe it. Using his fork as a wand when able to talk for a second and then pointing at Sig with it (at least he used a fork). Then, of course, they also have Paula Deen who touches every morsel and crumb of food they are talking about as well as using her fingers for every bite she takes of any kind of food - no utensil required for anything. Every show with Evine she's on with ANY kind of food.

@Krimpette wrote:I just cannot watcj the food shows with SF and DW as hosts. Not at all enjoyable to watch. Especially not DW. Even if he's not presenting a particular item, he rushes onto the set to grab some. Tacky, IMHO.
YES ! That absolutely makes me crazy !! Why does he have to do that?! No o e can be that hungry...Please !

@SahmIam wrote:@Reever I have to agree with you; it's disgusting. He and Sharon (I had to go look up the person via her picture) just shovel it in fork after fork. Do they think they make the food look MORE appetizing by the constant eating of it? They come off as pigs, nothing more, shoveling down the food at the trough. I posted this somewhere else (didn't know their names at the time) but I had it on in the background and DH walked by and went "Whoa, do they starve themselves in order to eat so much so fast? They look desperate for the food. Pretty bad".
He was right. FIrst and last time I watched them eating. If they come on...CLICK goes the channel. I've seen OTHER people eat food on a show without the fork after fork of food constantly going into their mouths; talking with food in their mouths; interrupting the vendor to talk about the food in their mouths; sticking their fork into everything possible. Gross.
So, @Reever, I hear ya. I truly do.
Me Too !

I'm pretty sure that part of the host job description involves demonstrating the product being sold. How else would you demonstate a food product positively but to eat it and appear to enjoy yourself while doing so?
I don't understand the host bashing. 🤔
❤️ Dan Wheeler.

I don't mind seeing any of them eat. After all it is a Food Show. I haven't watched a food show in a long while, but when I did, it never bothered me. I love to see people enjoy food and eating. My son in law is someone who genuinely loves food, and loves to try new things, and I think on a Food show, you have to be willing to give it a try! Some of it I wish I were trying it out! lol!

The hosts are supposed to eat on food shows. DW doesn't entertain me. His sidekick host SF acts like the food gives her so much "pleasure".
