I've used these muffin top pans years ago. If I remember correctly I just filled it slightly below the lip, perhaps 2/3 full. Those pans in the photo don't look as if they have much room to spread and crown over the top.

I have seen muffins tops in the grocery store. I think Thomas' makes them in blueberry and chocolate chip.

As soon as I saw the pan, I thought it was a Yorkshire Pudding pan.  That's what my British DH has.

I didn't realize you could buy them here under a different name.  I had a friend bring us one from England a few years ago!

I've never seen a shallow Yorkshire Pudding pan. The ones I'm aware of have been a smaller diameter and two to two and a half inches deep.
