Costco, can anyone order online?

[ Edited ]

Found a percolator we want.  One says member only, other one gives a price.  Is a membership needed to order online?

Yes, you have to be a member to order online.

Now, I think you can get a day pass if you go to physical location to make a purchase.

Yes, at some point in the ordering process they do ask for your membership number.

I am not a member and I have ordered on line, but had to pay a non-member surcharge.

I also thought you had to be a member but you don't. Does it say Member Only Item? I assume those items can only be purchase by members. You have to login for price. They have a 5% upcharge for non-members.

You don't have to be a member to order line.  I used to order k cups for my mother long before I became a member.  I had to pay a non member fee.  I think it was 5%.  It wasn't much.  Now they have some items limited for members only.  The item will be clearly marked.

It depends on the item, some things are members only others aren't.

As a member my beef is not everything is carried online.  Our closest store is 125 miles away and I don't get there very often.

Re: Costco, can anyone order online?

I let my membership lapse several years ago because it is so far to drive to the store, but with no active membership I have continued to order online.   As others have stated, many items have a 5% surcharge, but I find that to be cheap since I don't have the annual membership to pay.   Also, most items SHIP FOR FREE, so the small surcharge is well worth it.

I just ran to Costco for a rotisserie chicken and D batteries.  I think you can order on line without being a member but there is an extra charge.  I know you can use the pharmacy without being a member.
