Hi - I'm a new KitchenAid owner. Bought model Pro600 Deluxe in Dec 2016. Still cannot get either flex edge or metal beater to come close to bottom of glass bowl. Can't whip egg whites, cream cheese, mixes, everything clumps at bottom until I scrap with spatula and just pull out the hand held mixer to finish. It's now several months after purchasing and I feel bad because I dont want to use my mixer at all. (Tried dime test on YouTube, the beater clears the dime by at least 1/4") I adjusted screw on stem, no help. Does anyone know if I can exchange at this LATE date? I would pay shipping, I just don't want to use this anymore. It's been disappointing, and I know it's a great brand name product. KitchenAid C/S said they would send me a new bowl to try out to see if it would fix the problem, but I'd rather exchange for another model without this problem. Has anyone else had this issue? Hoping to resolve soon and get back to baking :-) Thank you for any advice!

OP I feel bad that your mixer just isn't working correctly for you. Perhaps Google some fix-it tutorials? I had the same problem but my attachments were too close to the bottom. My dh raised it up by the adjustment screw (that you mentioned). I hope you can get it working correctly. I just got my new mixer about a year ago, my old mixer was from 1978, and I'm really happy with it. Good luck.

It sounds like you need to adjust the beater height, it's very easy to do. Just google it.

@jaxs mom I agree as after several uses my Professional one needed adjusting and it fixed the problem. ![]()

Same thing happened with one I bought from Q I had tried to make it work for a few months then sent it back to Q they refunded my money minus shp
think it was. This was my 2nd one, first one came all tore up so I had to send it back to KA and they gave me the 2nd one, that's the one I sent back to Q
They done good by me. I would contact CS at Q and ask if they would refund don't know till you try.
With my refunded money I went to Bed and Bath and bought the KA mini I adore it. No trouble from the get go. No adjusting, no nothing. Quiet too.
