Community Christmas decorations

DH & I were out running errands all morning and every community we went to were out hanging up Christmas decorations. It will be very Christmassy in South Sarasota County tonight !! I wonder if they all got together and set a date when they would do this?

On the other hand we went to the local orange grove and got some oranges and grapefruits and had orange ice cream for lunch. It is so warm and humid here - ice cream was a good meal.It still feels funny to be eating ice cream when they are hanging up Christtmas decorations despite that we have lived here 6 years and were here for the winter the year before that. We still aren't used to no season change.

Being from Wisconsin, I can't relate to putting up Christmas decorations in heat and humidity. We still have to put up a snow fence to help keep our driveway clear, and I dread going out because it's only 20 degress out today.

I grew up in Southern California also.  I now live in the Pacific Northwest and LOVE the change of seasons although here they are milder than in some other places.
