I left a couple of frozen chicken breast out last night - was going to put them in the refrigerator but forgot. Do you think they are ok or should I throw them away

I would throw them out. Your health is worth more than a few dollars!

Does your house get cold at night? If so, the meat may be okay. But I wouldn't take the chance.

Thank you - I guess I'll throw it out.

I have done this so many times and have used the chicken with no problems whatsoever. If it was frozen solid, it stayed cold for most of the time on the counter.

It's funny, growing up food was always left out on the counter to defrost and there was never a problem. Now I leave something out any length of time and worry.

Were they totally thawed? As long as they still felt cold to the touch I'd use them, but if they'd gotten up to room temp I'd pitch (with no way to assess how long they'd been at that temp).

When it comes to any type of meat, I'm with the 'out' bunch.
