Somehow I just don't feel comfortable with stock in those cardboard boxes (like milk container). (Kitchen??) and...always wonder why tuna - stock - and other foods are okay sitting on grocery shelf and never go bad. (vac sealed I guess)

If I don't use the entire carton, I just pop in freezer. Thaws out easily in microwave when needed. And, no - that small piece of foil at the opening isn't an issue in the microwave.

I guess that's what I should have been doing. Duh. Never thought to do that. I like Collegen Inn because it's low fat and low sodium. The soup bases that I have seen are so high in sodium. Well I didn't make the soup, I would rather toss it than get sick. I am very picky about expiration dates. I am making pizza instead. Thanks for your suggestions.

I just started using the soup bases. I needed 1/2 cup for something do I drank t he other half with some leftover rice and chicken and it had a lot of flavor.
