Does anyone have a good cheese slicer?  Maybe the kind with a roller and wire to cut.  I like to buy the 8oz. block and have been slicing with a knife.  Suggestions?

I have a cheese plane like the above. I also have a cheese board with cutting wire. You can use dental floss on soft cheese.

It's called pre-sliced packaged cheese for me!

I had a drawer full of these.  Either the wire breaks or once you roll through the block of cheese it takes a hunk of the end off.  I use an old fashioned knife.

Wow --that wire cheese slicer is a blast from the past--my mom had one and that darn thing never died---I don't use alot of cheese anymore but I have a special serrated knive that.... cuts the cheese--Robot LOL--like butter--its just a knife but for some reason it does a perfect job with cheese---

I have a wonderful  smalli-ish cheese board butcher block  with a built-in wire slicer. Got it at a craft fair.  Wonderful!  Also given some a gifts.

I use a cheese plane labeled "Wusthof Gourmet' brand.  I bought it for a couple bucks used at a restaurant liquidation sale years ago.

I bought one recently: It's a BOSKA HOLLAND Cheese Plane - Got it from Amazon, and I absolutely love it!

Used it to slice some Cheddar and Mozzarella (from blocks) and made a couple of delicious Grilled Cheese Sammiches 2 nights ago. Smiley Wink
