Re: Can peanut M&Ms be frozen?

Of course peanut M&Ms can be frozen - all M&Ms can be, as well as most candies. And no - they won't turn into a sloppy mess when they thaw. My DH buys seasonal Russell Stover candies for me at Walgreen's, and I always just put most of them in the freezer to enjoy later. I love the Cherry Jelly Hearts that are only available around Valentine's Day and buy multiple bags and put them in the freezer to enjoy throughout the year.  If you're ever in doubt, just freeze a small baggie and try them later. You'll be pleasantly surprised!

Re: Can peanut M&Ms be frozen?

Thanks for all the helpful replies!  I think I'll seal them in my FoodSaver so I can get all the air out, and then I'll thaw them on a cookie sheet so they don't get damp.

I like them, but due to current medical treatments, can't stand chocolate! Man Indifferent

They store very well in a Lock & Lock in the refrigerator.   I like them, too, and maybe every year or two I'll buy a bag and store them that way.  They stay very well.

Has anyone tried to freeze peanut M&Ms?  I have a huge bag and would like to put them into smaller freezer bags and save them in the freezer.

@madzonie   I would think so, most foods can be.  I keep nuts in the freezer.

They sure can be frozen.  We freeze our Hershey's for Smores in the summer and chocolate chips for cookies and fudge.  I have never had candy turn into a mess when I have taken it out of the freezer.
