CUISINART FOOD PROCESSOR..love it

I am so enjoying my early Christmas present, a Cuisinart Food Processor, 13 cup. I finally got rid of my 35 year old one.

Today I made the bread recipe in the instruction book and later on, I shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes.

One of the new feature I was always missing, was a larger food feeder. It now has a large one in I which I will now be able to slice potatoes.

What a engineering marvel it is.

Anyone else have it, what do you think?

Yesterday, I ordered the small one from HSN with a 10.00 coupon and free shipping.

Anxious to get it and see what I can do with it!

@Flatbush  I have a smaller Ninja one that works great to cut cold butter into flour to make pie crusts and biscuits, and  toppings.  My hands can't take the work of a pastry cutter anymore. Works like a charm !!!

We have had one since they first hit the market in the 1970s. We've had 2 others (All Cuisinart) since, mom had another brand or two before she realized the Cuisinart is by far easier and better!

I had seen Julia Child use one, saw one that was for out of budget for me, got Christmas money and it was marked down after the holidays sale!  Nobody seemed to know what it was but me and I snagged it! Woman LOL

Our first one actually lasted at least 30 yeas.  We gave it to her (wish I'd kept it!) and she didn't use it as much as we did, but it worked like a champ for that many years.

Yes--I bought my first one after they first came out in 1981, I think--was an 11 cup one and used that until the early 2000's--then I bought my 2nd one that I have now.  I haven't used it much lately--

I have a KitchenAid food processor.  I wouldn't be without a food processor.

I use mine every day.  I use it for cutting and shredding veggies for salad and for soups.

It's great for making chicken or tuna salad.  It slices potatoes perfectly.  Mine even makes French fries when you feed a whole potato through.

I am baking cookies this week.  It chops nuts coarse or fine.  I use it for pie crust.

I love food processors so much, I have one in both of our RV's where space is limited. It saves so much time.

I used to have a Cuisinart and loved it, until the bowl got broken.  It is a wonderful brand.

Enjoy your new processor.

@meallen616

I think you will really enjoy using it. It does so many varied things. I am going to keep it on the counter, in case I get the bug to do who knows what!

Christmas cookies for you...Yes!

@ID2

You might want to try it, even a small one would be interesting. I think you might be amazed, unless you enjoy doing it by hand. I've done both.As long as the job gets done, that's what really matters.

@Sooner

The old processor  developed a crack in the container, but, it had a life time guarantee. Until the company was sold and then it didn't.

So I bought a new container. But, this new Cuisinart, beats the band.
