Re: CHERYL'S COOKIES

[ Edited ]

@Topaz Gem: DH wanted me to order for him the pecan pie bar and German chocolate pecan cake cookies. Plus to have on hand for friends when they  come over  or if we visit them the Holiday  Ornament Treats Set.( 12 plus 4 free)  I do not have coupons for this selection. The order now totals $135. We are in the middle of home improvements and kitchen remodel therefore no holiday cooking or baking. I know taste etc is the individual choice but considering our situation should I  place the order? Thank you. Southern Bee

I may go ahead and purchase the passport thing for free shipping for a year  for $29 since this covers several vendors plus I found a code for 20% off, if I decide to order.

I pray that I have not made a mistake but I ordered  items for DH and extra for gifts. I went on other sites but  for amount ordered and discounts not bad. I have ordered cookies  from the other shopping net work and other vendors and not really happy.

Wow: received order- Loved the ornament with good variety of treats and each item was good . Friends were suprised the ornament was stuffed instead of one cookie.

DH  loved the pecan pie bar because it was not excessively sweet like many pecan pies. He also liked the German chocolate pecan cake cookies.

Everything was moist and fresh. Really like everything individually wrapped.

I think Lofthouse Cookies at the supermarket are every bit as good as Cheryl's.  If you're buying cookies for yourself, rather than sending them as a gift, give Lofthouse a try.

I've never had a Lofthouse cookie. But interestingly, I found recipe for faux-Lofthouse sugar cookies online and thought I'd try them. The recipe is simply excellent; I made those cookies now twice and they disappear quickly.

Right after I made the cookies the first time, we were in our local grocery store and found Lofthouse cookies. I put a package of them in our shopping cart (because I wanted to see if they were any good). Then I looked at the price and put the package back on the shelf.

That fake Lofthouse cookie recipe is really that good. I'm going to be making those cookies again.

I have just received the holiday set of Cheryls and the TSV of Davids from HSN; both are in my freezer (except those that can sit out). The shortbread cookies are gifts for family; they bring back shortbread from the UK and they prefer Davids, lol (it's made in Scotland for Davids Cookies).

We've never had in issue with them. I used them as filler for what I make as the frosted sugar cookies are lovely but we only need a few. The brownies are cut in half and used for lunches (husbands and sons). This way, we have a nice selection for everyone to choose from and I'm not spending hours/days baking.
