Re: C E Perfect Cooker on clearance

[ Edited ]

The recipes are the ones in the booklet that came with the Perfect Cooker and some online. Remember to now always go by the time in the booklet. I made two of the meat loaves and one I made in the Perfect Cooker and one I made in the Skinny Mini by Lorena Garcia. It took 37 minutes in the Skinny Mini and browned on the bottom. Both were equally as good and moist. I jus try things and write down the times it worked for me.

My brother is 83 this week and he is excited I got him this Perfect Cooker in blue. I will bring it to him and make the rice and show him what to do. He lost his wife several years ago and his new lady wants to learn it use it also.

The potstickers and soup I just tried them but they are not in a book. I made a small batch of homemade tomato sauce in it once also. It was very good. I made mac and cheese - my own recipe- and I have also boiled eggs in it. I did 4 eggs in 25 minutes. Soft boiled eggs in 20 minutes. I know it took longer to do the eggs but I can do other things while they cooked. I have made the cheesecake three times and it was delicious each time. Just the right size also for three or four pieces. Since I can't have fatty or spicy foods I skipped many of the recipes.

Her statement is not accurate if by PC she means pressure cooker. Pressure cookers do a beautiful job of cooking oatmeal and rice.

There seems to be plenty of 5 star reviews.

On the low reviews, do you think people just didn't follow directions?

 I may order anyway.

Great price! Did I need one, not really. Am I glad i got it? Yes! i have a 6 cup Aroma rice cooker, paid $15.00 for it last year at Walmart. Works great, the non stick isn't as effective anymore, shouldn't have used spray in it.   I  ordered the Cook's Essential just seeing how long it would sit in the order process, I thought couple of days go by, I'll just go cancel the order. Nope, it shipped the next evening, I logged in to check the order status, didn't have the option to cancel. The next day I got the shipping email.  Now I'm glad i didn't cancel it. First thing I made was some white rice, came out perfect. Then  the full meal I made later the first night I had it, was one I've made in  the Aroma  cooker

Does anybody really use this thing on a regular basis?   I use it so seldom, between uses I forget how to use it, how much water, how much rice or pasta.  I made an omelet once; it was okay but it took 50 minutes.  I can whip one up on the stove and be eating it in 10 minutes.

I think this is just another silly gadget.

I've had mine a couple of weeks. I actually love it! And use it. I had both rice cookers going the other night. The Aroma was reheating some teritaki chicken, and the Perfect Cooker had some brown rice going. I  would never have bought at it's original price last year, when  it was a TSV. Couldn't pass up the $19.00 though20170822_184931.jpg

Re: C E Perfect Cooker on clearance

I already have one that I bought last year. I use it a lot to make foolproof rice and other things as well. I like that it is small for those times when it is just me or I am not making enough to warrant the big Ninja multi cooker or the pressure cooker (I have the 4qt CE and love that).

I bought a second one of these today for my 19 year old daughter. Three weeks ago she moved away from home all the way across country. 😢 She has a new place and is just starting out.  Last week I sent her a CE air fryer because she loved the one we have at home. Now I will send her one of these Perfect Cookers as well. She left with many things I had been stashing away for her but I had not thought about this. When I saw it today I couldn't pass it up, the price is phenomenal! She loves to make potstickers in the airfryer and now she can make rice to go along with.

I am wondering, because of the clearance price, is CE coming out with a new model? I hate it when I buy something and not too long after a new/improved model comes out.

I have one and used it quite often until I found the CE 2qt pressure cooker on sale.  I honestly haven't used it since, the small pressure cooker is great. I make pasta or mashed potatoes in 7 minutes, can't beat that.

@Sueliz I often use my rice cooker (a Zojirushi) and my Instant Pot at the same time. I make rice in one and a pork pot roast or something else in the pressure cooker. Then I can make gravy to pour over the rice! Woman Tongue
