I got a Jennie O frozen turkey roast (all white meat) you cook it frozen and for the 2 of us loved it & moist. No bones easy to carve but the time on the bag and my oven I had to cook it a little longer. My husband said buy this all the time he loved it. I thought it was a little salty but not too bad, check sodium if you have a problem before buying, Also you can make it in the crockpot but I was afraid to try it.

I would love your recipe for turkey tetrazzini!!!!!!!!

This is in the frozen section and you do not thaw. Take the outside wrapper off and the turkey is in a cooking bag. You cook it from frozen. Reviews online are good.
It looked interesting.

I wrote a cookbook for my children years ago and they said to be sure I included this. I do put it in to the oven in a casserole dish with bread crumbs on top for about 25-30 minutes before serving. I do NOT use nutmeg in mine and cook my mushrooms and onions in the stove.
I also mix it all up in a large bowl or saucepan before transferring to the casserole or 9”x13” pan.
This can be made in many ways but this was always one my children’s favorite. I also use Better than Bouillon as the chicken stock needed. This can be made with chicken or all by itself.

Where have you been?
Turkey and other meats (fresh or frozen) cooked in an oven bag have been around since the late 60’s. It is a popular technique to keep your protein moist and not over cooked. My mother use to use the technique all the time.
I, myself, use Sous Vide method for proteins most of the time.
Good luck and happy cooking.

Unless you use both dark and white meat I would just buy a fresh turkey breast, much easierr and quick. I am not a big fan of frozen turkey, full of preservatives and takes a long time to defrost. In a pinch I've gone over to the deli and had them cut meat a really thick piece of turkey and that way you can make a little or a lot with no waste. Then I saved some for sandwiches or to add to a green salad. Just a thought.
