No, but burnt ends are not really pieces of burned BBQ in my experience.

LOL ... I thought burned ends were food scraps for the dog.  People eat them?  I honestly didn't know.

@Tinkrbl44.  QVC sells them and people actually buy them, pay money for them.  SMH.

They are the crispy and chewey pieces of brisket, porkbutt and ribs.  Those good end pieces.  Why do people eat them?  Because they are good.

 

They aren't supposed to be "burnt" but rather deeply carmelized and with a hint of crispy edges.  People love 'em, dogs love 'em and that's what most people cutting up a big slab of bbq will be picking off and eating themselves!

I didn't realize you could buy them in the grocery store.  At many BBQ joints, you can order the burnt ends which is what I do if they're on the menu.
