Broken Lock and Lock lids

Everyone raves about Lock and lock, and don't get me wrong, I love them too- I have dozens, but have continually had a problem with the lids breaking- Seems on (especailly the round ones) the tabs break right at the "hinge" I have so many 3 tabbed lids at this point, I am beginning to think that is normal...Anyone else have this problem? I am not hard on them, hand wash and don't usually even freeze in them...
