My everyday dishes are by Gibson and are white with grapes, apples and cherries around the sides. So I love white ware. I also have a set of four white bone china teacups and saucers by Haviland that I inherited from my Mother.

I had this set and donated most of it because it showed utensil marks so badly. It's also very heavy. If doing white ware I prefer the old standby Corningware....has a patented glazed finish that prevents utensil marks, very lightweight and difficult to break or chip. Have some pieces of Corningware Butterfly Gold pattern from 1968....still looks great with just minimal fading of pattern from dishwasher.
