I would be sickened to see blood running out of a hunk of meat.

 Yuck

I didm't know until I was an adult that I love rare beef.  Although I rarely eat any beef nowadays, the little bit I do choose will be rare. I don't object to the TV presentations - I just remind myself that too much puts me on the path to surgery!

Apparently the OP woke up on the wrong side of the bed today.  She also hates Cheryl'0s cookies.

None of what the OP is describing is an issue for me.

And FYI, the red liquid released from beef after cooking (even if you only take it to the rare stage) is not blood—it is a protein in the muscle tissue that carries oxygen through the meat and just happens to have a red pigment. Its color darkens as heat is applied, which is why a well-done steak is less pink than a rare one. There's nothing scary or gross at all; if you simply stopped to think about it, you'd realize it couldn't be blood even if you didn't know this scientific information.  Smiley Wink

No, I don't feel this way.  I am not bothered by meat.

Well, the OP has covered her displeasure with the entree and the dessert.

Waiting to see which appetizers she'll go after.

I'm tired of people complaining about people who love meat.  Don't watch.

I do not watch any of the food shows but I like my beef medium rare so the presentation would not bother me at all.

I'm not sure why anyone would watch something that they find offensive and have no interest in???
