I recently made my first purchase for one of David's cookbooks at a local bookstore.  The few recipes I have tried so far are great (as they always are)  and I am looking forward to trying many more in this book.  However, it is starting to fall apart and I am using a rubberband to keep it together.  Is this an issue with his books or did I just happen to get one with this problem?

Re: Binding on David's Cookbook

Cookbooks should have a different binding than regular books. Because they need to lay flat, the binding breaks and pages fall out.

Re: Binding on David's Cookbook

I have about 4 cookbooks I use frequently. I took those to fedex/kinkos  and had them spiral bound. I cost me about $4/book and was well worth it.  They flatten out easily now.

@PMG055   Didn't know anyone could/would do this.  $4 seems reasonable.  Great idea to keep in mind.  Thanks for posting.

Re: Binding on David's Cookbook

@cherrywood   Good morning, and welcome to the boards!  I have all of David's books, including the latest, and haven't had any problem with the binding so far.

Re: Binding on David's Cookbook

I have taken paperbacks to Kinko, but didn't think they could reinforce a hard copy.  I will give it a try because this book is a keeper.

Thanks for all the input (and your comment,  aroc).
