It is a really cool and beautiful fall day, so there is a loaf of pumpkin bread in the oven. Baking and football equals a great day for me. Are any of you baking today ?   🎃 & 🏈

I baked banana bread on Saturday and got ingredients around and mixed together the dry ingredients for a coffee cake.  I'll bake the cake later this week.

@QVCkitty1 Been contemplating it is all so far, lol. Too beautiful out today, and those days in CT will be short-lived soon.

So I may do some last days of farmer's markets, and also some garden store sales today instead.

That said...I've been thinking I need to make my apple crisp that I haven't made in a few years. It's such a project...at least for me it is, all the peeling, and all the steps. I use Barefoot Contessa's recipe. It's my BF's favorite and he's home sick, so I really should plan to make it this week.

I also bought my usual yearly cans of Pumpkin the other day because this time of year I love to make something pumpkin, usually a pumpkin loaf and my aunt's pumpkin choc chip cookies recipe. However, I'm also trying to lose some pandemic pounds...stillllll. So....I may hold off on that for a bit, maybe for an occasion where I have an excuse to make them and share!

Anyway, enjoy your perfect Sunday of football and baking...sounds like a good way to spend the fall day. 🍁🎃🍂🥧

Still too warm here. I'll wait until the temps here are in the 60's.

No baking here.  We'll have some of the final nice days of the season this week so DH and I decided to have a garage sale Tuesday and Wednesday.  We've been busy pulling things from every nook and cranny. I've been pricing excess beauty items (new, never opened).  I'm not giving them away, but they're cheap (about 1/4 of what I paid) for the person who knows what they're getting.  If no one buys any of it, a giant box will be donated somewhere.

Baked up some mini pumpkin cupcakes w/ pumpkin cream cheese frosting yesterday for an event. Today the apple crisp just came out of the oven. Oh, the smell is so delish.

Since retiring, I've got something baking a couple times a week ... bread or dessert items. Hubby and I will have some and I take a lot over to neighbors or grandbabies.

Not today. Leaf pick up and wood stacking is what we were doing. Tomorrow though is Apple Cake baking.
