Baking & Cooking are NOW my normal routine (again)!

Since I go to store only afternoon when very few in there & only if I need necessities I've joined probably everyone else cooking & baking again!

When I go to store the bakery section is "slim pickings" and he doesn't like packaged stuff that much.

My spouse said he felt like coffee cake (or something) so I made coffee cake.  House smells so good😊😊.  Once it cools I'll glaze it...yummm

That looks delicious!  I have been craving homemade chocolate chip cookies.  I have all the ingredients but I am having problems controlling my eating so I do not think I will be baking!🤣🤣

@4kitties

For some reason, I love baking but I don't really eat it. Well, if it's cinnamon walnut rolls or pastry.  Last week I made him chocolate chips (reserve in freezer) which he loves now I can't get choc chips.

I was craving ice cream.  Today, I bought a milkshake...now that is my guilty pleasure if I have ice cream in freezer it's not in there long!

Spouse is "thin" and can eat this stuff well maybe not for long during this pandemic😉🤢.

my daughter just told me she has cooked more these past few weeks than she has in months....maybe because she's out of work.....she runs mental health groups....she's worried about her clients....

I have been doing more cooking too.  I think it just makes me feel more "normal".  Having a routine of my day to day housekeeping chores and even doing laundry is somehow a bit comforting to me right now.

Of course when I finally work up the courage to step on that scale, I am sure to need extra comforting.....🤣🤣🤣🤣

Cooking and baking always brings me comfort and I love being in the kitchen. My grandmother taught me both and being in the kitchen reminds of being little and helping her cook and bake.

I've always kept an ample supply of items, so I have plenty of needed ingredients. Soups are my favorite to make. I do find that I better start Social Distancing from my refrigerator pretty soon....🤣🤣
