Re: Bakers Rack or Kitchen Hutch Advice

Off topic, but I had to look this up.  Don't think I have ever heard that term before.  Could it more regional?

@beach-mom  @Kachina624   @Hooty   @Icegoddess

@Kitlynn   @one smart cookie  I am tech challenged--haven't mastered posting pics from my Macbook

@Still Raining  The names for this piece of furnitire might be regional--I have no clue. @ECBG  I agree--beautiful pic and beautiful arrangement of items with a theme.

Thank you all for your ideas and encouragement.  Now to find the prettiest maatching containers/baskets to house the humdrum baking items and keep the narrower top shelves for the pretty things like my Mosser salt and pepper shakers, etc.

Love what a creative, upbeat group we have here who always willingly support each other in brainstorming solutions.

Re: Bakers Rack or Kitchen Hutch Advice

@aroc3435    Yesterday, in response to a request from BeachMom, doobdoo and I posted a tutorial for posting photos.  Doob posted several pages which make it appear more complicated than it is but she's an Apple expert and very meticulous.  I take the simplified approach which works too.

If you'd like to experiment, give it a whirl.  We all had a first time.

@aroc3435   Wanted to add, I got a set of 2 heavy metal baskets with a vine pattern.  I keep kitchen linens like tea towels in them.  They're in my rack.

@aroc3435 Do you need the vertical element in the room?  How about a buffet or server instead of something vertical?  You'd have space below that would have doors and shelves, or shelves alone.

Put a lamp on top, stack some cookbooks maybe, or a pretty bowl or anything decorative.  A lovely picture above or a window and you are in business!

It might make the room seem more open and provide some pretty flat display space.

@ECBG, that is the Pumpkin patch design in the Temptations line.  I recognize it because I have 4 of the mugs from several years ago that I pull out every year for hot apple cider.

It does look very nice on that hutch.

Re: Bakers Rack or Kitchen Hutch Advice

@aroc3435    I use my baker's rack for my cookbooks and other small kitchen appliances like George Foreman Grill, griddle, bread machine.

Re: Bakers Rack or Kitchen Hutch Advice

A photo of my kitchen rack wouldn't help you at all, @aroc3435.  It's entirely functional, nothing pretty about it except that I can access a lot of kitchen needs from it quickly.  I do have one across the room that is only for display but I don't have a current photo of it and haven't knocked myself out to make it perfect for anyone but me.  It's very tall, I will try to get it into a photo.  Not good at photo taking.
