Mrs. Prindables caramel & nut apples?

I've scrolled through the QVC inventory and the Mrs. Prindables website, but I've only found apples dipped in chocolate, peanut butter, sprinkles, and toffee.  Most of them have chocolate chips or are dipped in chocolate.  The ones that are just caramel & nut are packaged in sets with other flavors I don't want to purchase. Have you noticed any sets that are just apples, caramel, and nuts?  Would appreciate the item number if you have it.

And I notice they no longer state the type of apple.  I really dislike Granny Smiths (too tart) and would only buy them if they used a sweeter apple.

I've always wanted to try these apples, but i read the reviews and they're not that good. I'd rather look around where i live and buy 1 to see if i like them, before ordering and spending all that money. but they always look so good.

I noticed that too @LexaMom. A couple of items specifically mentioned Pink Lady apples, but most didn't list the type of apple. I'm not a fan of the Granny Smith.

I actually wait for the Granny Smith apples in these because that tartness against all that sweet caramel and chocolate makes a perfect combination for my taste.  I never like the sweeter apples in Mrs. Prindables.

If there's a TJMaxx near you, they carry Mrs. Prindables apples during the holidays.

@Caaareful Shopper   Agree completely.  I wouldn't buy them if they were a different apple.  I got these last year and have them (the TSV) ordered again.  Can't wait!  My family loves them.

@wildcat fan   I like the ones w/the nuts, too, but I have a feeling the nuts are more expensive and they wouldn't be able to do a TSV for that price.  Just a thought.

Good point @Patriot3 about the price of nuts. I searched through all the inventory and couldn't find any with just nuts and caramel by themselves. There was one large apple dipped in nuts, but after looking closely I found that it was also dipped in chocolate.

I ran into this last year. A couple of years ago, my boss gifted everyone a Mrs. Prindables apple. Mine was just caramel and nuts and it was really good.

Most supermarkets sell caramel apples in the fall in the produce dept., just roll them in your preferred nuts.

Much fresher that way as well.
