I have the set that Mark Charles Misil hawked a couple of years ago.  They have handles which can be helpful, but they can also take up space.  These look simple in theory.  Be advised, though, that they don't really seal.  They just keep the bag closed.

I use plastic clothes pins all over the place. For cereal or chips, etc., I just fold the top over once or twice and clip; that makes them airtight.

And I use ziplock bags a lot, especially in the freezer (and wash and reuse them).

The sealer sticks look interesting. I have a feeling I wouldn't use them much (and DH probably wouldn't use them at all lol).

@We rescue cats,  unless you voice a solid objection I am so going to use the "Sorry, I was thinking with my fingers!!",

Gripstic bag sealer sticks from Amazon.  We have used them for years and they are very effective on plastic bags and ours are at least 5 years old.

I've been using these for years, not only for stuff on the kitchen shelves but when I have stuff left in bags from frozen food.  I toss the box and just clip the bags closed  and put them back in the freezer.  Other uses around the house too.  Great idea!

@frenchie- I received my order of these and they work great.  They are easier to use than the slide through ones I ordered a couple yrs ago from Mark Misilli.  No handle makes it easy to fit the bag back into the cereal box after its seale   Glad I ordered them.

I saw these on Mary's show today. What a great idea! I now save twist ties for bread, bagels and frozen food bags. They don't work that well. These sticks look interesting and easy to use. Anyone have them?

Bought similar from HSN in the 90's.  Slightly better design.  Use them all the time and they work well.  This older design that really works available on Amazon.
