I so agree about making salad dressing from scratch and, frankly, just about everything from scratch.

All it takes to turn me off to packages and boxes of stuff is to read the ingredients.  If you haven't done that lately, take a look.  It boggles the mind.  There's one ingredient, which I cannot recall at this moment, which is an ingredient placed in paint and makeup, but the FDA allows a certain amount of it in food. 

Since I've had very, very recent experience in determining migraine triggers after many years of not knowing what any of them were, I'm totally all over labels these days.

Must get back to you with my simple Italian dressing.  This bug is still with me and has now got my left parotid gland swollen, as well as a secondary tonsil.  Think I'm off to urgent care tomorrow.
