This is getting ridiculous. I eat greens of all kinds as well as avocados. This scare tactic is suspicious at best. I wash my fruits and veggies and refuse to be held hostage over more lies. Nope. The lies about our health is beyond the fray.

the best Avocados in the world are our California haas avocado. My daughter and friend have n avocado tree.  They don't get many yet, as the trees are about 7, 8 years old. So they don't share, lol. Although I have one or so off the tre.   I,love avocado toast, avocado with lox, just smashed with garlic, lemon, and a little pita. Just fresh halved , and dig out with a spoon is the best way!  You can freeze them as well!  I dunk in lemon juice, then vacuum seal them a bit so they don't get ice in bag.  The best way to freeze is mash, add salt , lemon and vacuum seal

I LOVE avocados.  I too eat them daily with a squeeze of lime and everything bagel seasoning on them.  I put them on everything.  I agree the Haas from cali are the very best. If I can find them.

I bought about 6 from walmart last week - NOT the Haas. Hard as a rock. But I left them out on the counter for about 4-5 days until they softened up. Sadly, for some reason every one of them were rotten inside when I cut them open and they were perfect ready from the outside. Not sure what that was about.  I'm off lettuce for a while and have only been buying local or yes, neighbors garden produce. Lettuce is out of season around here so until my daughter's indoor hydroponic grower spouts enough lettuce for her to share, we off of it.  Tomatoes are coming on in MD, cucumbers are plentiful as well as peppers.

Last thing I heard that's on the list is jalapenos 😬

ha, ha, yes that's cute. So nah, they are out.  It's so weird,

even apricot jam or even a belgian juice broke me out on my hands, deep inside fingers. Oh......the top of my feet I can almost bleed because I itch to death almost.

Bottom line, I call myself a delicate flower (others see the same things on me hahaha).  Just so odd, I can't stand it

my friend but such is life.....what can I do other than live with it.  My food choices are very limited indeed and I envy those who can eat anything. Smiley Sad

I can certainly identify!  I have terrible issues with my skin.  Some days I just get so weary of it all.  I just feel like it's hopeless at times.  I try and be as careful and use such bland things on my skin to try and help, and I think it helps some days and other days --- no, not at all.  As for what I eat?  That's a joke.  It's either my skin, my digestive issues or other health issues having me in a constant state of upset!  I have often said if I could change one thing about me, it would be to have all over healthy and strong skin!  What a blessing that would be!!!

@bmorechick  yes food allergies are a pain.  You might want to look up what  family these foods  are that you are allergic to coe from.  For instance I am allergic to "nigtshade " foods.  Potatoes are one of them....sigh....so I eat them sparingly. Avocados are in the "laurel" family.   Cinnamon, bay leaves and sassafras are all "Laurel" foods.

Apricots are from "the rose family.  They include peaches, cherries, nectarines and almonds."  Amd see I have problems with them all eaten in abundance.  HELP!!Woman LOL Someone does not want people like us to eat!!

@bmorechick   try putting avocados in paper bag to ripen. Yes they do rot inside if left too long. Sometimes the avocado appears to be hard from outside.  If it's not rock hark I cut it anyway.  Sometimes those are the best ones!  They are perfect sliced.

When you buy  them, just put the avocado in palm of hand ,squeeze lightly. The ends should  have give. Or just push in ends.  Also, it is best not to buy avocados when that stem button has been removed. Many people remove the stem to see if it is green underneath. If it is , it is ready to eat. But as they sit they turn brown.  When your avocados are just rioe enough to eat, put in fridge till you can eat them so they don't  rot inside

@Pink123   I think you replied to the wrong poster ha ha...I don't have any food allergies and fortunately no one in my family does either.

I can't imagine having to be wary of whether or not a food may affect me.  Sounds like a major inconvenience!
