We used lots of Reynolds wrap in the oven to heat up leftovers. Remember cold meatloaf sandwiches? Cold pizza for breakfast? We used to eat a lot of cold fried chicken.

Cold pizza for breakfast the next morning was a big reason I used to buy pizza!

Re: Anyone else remember leftovers before the invention of the microwave?

What ever leftovers there were, Mom would add milk or water to it..no matter what it was...and reheat in a skillet on the stove. YUCK! But NOTHING was ever wasted.

I only cook on weekends and use the microwave all week to reheat. Never 'cook' in it. But I did just buy my daughter the Rangemate...can't wait to hear her review. She ONLY uses the microwave...I think she is allergic to the stove now that she is on her own.
