When you get to this site, type in the "search" section (Soup or Sauce (SOS) Mix) and a list should come up. Just click on the top of the list and you should get the pdf. to print this. I think it's neat and hope you do also. And that it will be beneficial to you.
If anyone here makes this mix and uses it, it would be fun if another thread would be started and let everyone know what you did with the mix. Enjoy. Sure hope this link works for you.

GrannyDea, I'm going to whip up a batch! What great recipes they make with it! There are so many recipes out there that use fake cream soups-this looks like a winner and it's so versatile! Thank you for posting this link!

Wow! I was beginning to think you are truly serious which no doubt you are. But this if funny. I do hope you will enjoy all you do with this mix. I haven't made it myself but printed it off so now I can. But just felt it was something others might enjoy too. Good luck.

3/4 cup cornstarch? Well, that sounds..convenient, maybe, but awful. Do people still use cornstarch, anyway? What do you do with it?

Yes people still use corn starch. If you eat any kind of Chinese food that has a thickened sauce, that's what they use.
That 3/4 cup is in a bulk mix that makes the equivalent of 9 cans of cream soup. That's only a little over a tablespoon per can.
I think it sounds like a great thing to have on hand. You could season it however you like.
Thanks for sharing Granny.

I haven't tried making the mix yet but want to when I can. Sounds better than using cream soups that you don't know what's in them. Eat This Not That has sure opened my eyes to what is in our foods. Especially the newest book, Eat It or Beat It by the same author as the Eat This Not That books. Good references I think.

GrannyDea, I have an idea you will love. If you get a Vitamix, you can make bean flour (I use cannelini or navy beans, but you can use whatever you like). Use about 1 tablespoon for cup of liquid and you've got a fantastic healthy thickener. I've use this for chicken pot pie filling as the "creamy" part that the chicken and vegetables swim in and my family was none the wiser....You would certainly enjoy "Country Beans" by Rita Bingham-any of her books are great and I've bought her books (used) on Amazon for as little as two bucks-but it's amazing what great dishes you make!

Thanks so much, poodle. Did you grind them in the regular Vitamix or do you have the dry container? Not sure I want the dry container to have to store if the regular one will work OK. But we love beans so this is great to know.
