The settings still work but the heating elemment does not.
Is this the end?
Is there no "reset" button for the heating element?

I'd either check YouTube or call the company.

It's odd they would both go at the same time.

Sounds like my garbage disposal - it hums so I know it's getting electricity, but it doesn't turn.
I've done everything I already knew and everything I saw online. For now, I'm not using the disposal, but I'm close to certain I need new. November is a wicked month for me, but I don't have lots of holiday shopping to do. Fortunately December is around the corner. I'll call the plumber then!

I'll bet there was a power surge.

Have you tried a different outlet?

On our first or second or third garbage disposal we had a reset button. Of course we had called a plumber and he pointed it out to us.

Was trying to figure out how IPot turned in to garbage disposal discussion..........LOL.........I see that another poster introduced the second machine. YES - there is a RED RESET BUTTON on your disposal when it just hums. Blades have become stuck or jammed.
You have to crawl down on your butt or knees w/flashlight - it's usually up near the top of the disposal and/or ............did you received a long metal object - looks like a wrench w/small hook with the machine? If so take it and connect to bottom of disposal (like screwdriver to a nut) and once connected............turn that 'nut' very slightly...... with your disposal 'wrench'. One of those 2 things should straighten it out to run properly.

@millieshops Left you message - wasn't sure who brought up the garbage disposal subject. Hope it helps.

sounds like it was a safety issue. It flipped something because detected wasn't something right. Lid wasn't tight, wrong option , not enough water, etc. something like that
