I find it easy to believe considering you were the one with all the nasty insulting comments to the posters that posted on that thread.
I didn’t say anything nasty. My comments were measured, intelligent and revealing. If people choose to act foolishly in public forums, then they should be prepared for others to treat them accordingly. You have called me nasty and insulting, and I have just responded in an appropriate, civil manner. Go ahead. Hit the reply button, and prove my point.
Not before you get the chip off your shoulder, lol
I rest my case.
I've rested my case at 3:17am.
No one wishes to hear about what you're doing with your body in the wee hours of the morning.
Gosh, I sure hope you're going back to your elementary school today. Do us all a favor and disappear Would have used another word, but it would have gotten poofed, lol

@TAJAI'd love to know when and where it ever sold at the "regular" price!

@TenderMercies wrote:$200 is not a lot for a cake. If you’re used to buying sheet cakes at Walmart, then yes, that would be a hefty price for you. For those who buy at fine, neighborhood bakeries, this is the norm.
Seriously? I clearly don't hang out in fine neighborhood bakeries, but how on Earth would anyone justify that price even for a fine bakery cake? Cakes, by and large, tend to use fairly simple, inexpensive ingredients and are relatively quick to make. (Unlike some breads that can be a multi-day process.) Is someone out there making cakes out of white truffles or something? That's about the only way I could see them justifying a price like that.
This wasn't a sheet cake. It's piecaken. They are insanely tricky to make. This one with the cheesecake layer would really be difficult. I made on last year for Friends-giving. My guests are still talking about it.

I have to see that cake. However, bakery cakes that feed a lot of people and have special decorations can be extremely expensive. Qvc foods are expensive anyway but I suppose well worth the price for some who want something special that they cannot buy locally or just want food delivered to their door. I remember that the Christmas after my mom passed I was lost, sad and not emotionally ready to have a Christmas without her. Christmas was always our thing. But I had a family and I had to plaster a smile on my face and fake it for them. I bought our entire meal, including the desserts from QVC that year. From ham to sides to desserts to candy. It cost a fortune of course but I let the girls who were teens prepare it and serve. They loved that and they loved doing something different. My sweet girls never knew the real reason.

Southern Living had a recipe YEARS ago (2003) for a pecan pie/cheesecake that utilized a complete Mrs. Smith frozen pecan pie.
It's one of the most popular recopes the magazine has ever printed and still appears in holidays collections they publish.
I made it one year for Thanksgiv9ng - it was good, buy not worth repeating!
