That price for something like that is usurious IMO. Can I afford a 200.00 dessert? YUP. Would I spend that....NOPE!

Plenty of ideas to make your own if interested.

My whole opinion on it is for myself, I couldn't do it even if I had the money. But....that would be because I am not a dessert person. If this were a Christmas tree or a Dept 56 house or whatever floats my boat and I could afford it, I would because I clearly deserve to purchase what makes me happy.

I keep telling my parents who have been so frugal for so many years and have earned a problem free retirement, do what makes you happy. They could afford a 200 dollar cake and if they bought it I'd be happy if it made them happy.

That however will not happen. Because at dinner my dad will season his food and he'll ask me, 'would you like some nut salt?'. I ask him what is nut salt? Hey says, 'I save the salt at the bottom of the nut container jars. Tastes great and saves money.'

My mom rolls her eyes, I have some nut salt and everyone's happy.

BirdieGal, the cake during the live presentation looked nothing close to that first photo of yours'. It looked like a goupy, droopy mess. That must be the frozen, touched up picture. The rep had to cut it in larger pieces just so it would hold together. Not thinner slices you would have to cut for 24 servings as David suggested. So I pass on this "Piecaken". It is not appetizing at all and the price is unwarranted.
