My comment is as I sit here and watch in the kitchen with David and I scroll thru Rastelli  meats etc. the price increases on food is ridiculous.....looks like I won't be ordering any more steaks crab cakes etc.  too rich for a previous regular buyer !

my question is if you're already logged in to QVC why do you have to login to blog that's a little bit silly...

@july girl    I guess you haven't been to the grocery store lately where you have to arrange financing to buy a small roast.

You have to sign in because you have to be a registered user to post here, and this isn't a blog.  It's how they maintain control of the forums.

Yes I've been to the grocery store I know everything is increasing but it seems a little over kill on QVC

I agree food prices are high on QVC - you're paying for convenience. However, don't forget that the ashiiping cost is included in all the food prices. Shipping is not cheap.

The shipping is included, that's pretty expensive to ship perishable items.

You are paying for all the people who "get their money back" because they are not satisfied.

You are paying for the percentage the Q gets.

You are paying for "special packaging", these products are for the Q only, maybe you'll find them close to on the company website but the Q cannot compete with an apple for an apple so special packaging, product is made and sold for them.

I don't find the Q anymore in cost than let's say the Holiday food items from Neiman Marcus, these are luxury food items that you just don't find in your neighborhood grocery store.

@july girl  The sign in for shopping at QVC is a different sign in than for the blogs & forums.  I don't know why, but it just is that way.🙂

As for logging in...I got so annoyed logging in twice all the time that now I have the forums bookmarked and log in there first, then I can go right to my orders, etc., without having to log in again.

I noticed that when I first try to log into the forum, it directs me to the login for QVC shopping. I guess it's their way of reminding us that they are a retailer and not simply a chat site.  I'm pretty sure that this forum is run by an independent company.

@house_cat  The mods said they also had signing in problems and let the proper dept know about it.

I think there are two types of people when it comes to Q food.  Some justify the price by pointing out the free shipping, the packaging and delivery, the get your money back if you don't like it feature, and the gourmet (using the term lightly) quality.  Others  find the prices ridiculous for something you can make at home (assuming you are a good cook or baker.)  I don't think you're going to convince either side that they are wrong.
