Perhaps she did it to give the stone more sparkle. I admit that I was about to buy it however remembered that had a very nice heart shaped from JR and the Smithsonian Collection also from QVC🌻

@Sammycat1 Yep the 179 dollar one.  I still love that ring, but I can't cancel it now.  I guess I'll see if it's uncomfortable on the finger before I return it.  Her ring sizes runs large so hopefully, it won't cut into my finger when I wear it.  We'll see.
