Exactly. Besides, $40 for ceramic and you believe that?

You get what you pay for. It looked loud, flashy and tacky -- like her clothes.

Do ceramic watches have a higher chance of breaking since they're ceramic?

All ceramic watches are not created equal. The cheaper ones are thinner and may just be colored on the surface, not all the way through. They can easily be broken by dropping them on a hard tile or cement floor. They can be chipped during the process of sizing them or changing the battery.
Good quality ceramic is very sturdy but can be broken if dropped. It's advantage is that it will remain clean and shiny and will never scratch. You can get a white one and it will forever be pristine and white. They are heavier than a metal watch but when properly sized and after wearing them a few hours, you don't even notice the weight. It's important they be sized to the wearer. You don't want them flopping around and crashing into things. They are great watches.

Isaac's ceramics are great quality- I tried one but it felt too heavy on my wrist. Probably because I rarely wear a watch since my cell phone days!

As soon as I saw that watch, without even knowing the price, my first thought was that it looked like something you'd find at Charming Charlie for around $20.00.
