Yes the new nail style is a trend. A trend that makes me wonder how they clean them selves if you get my drift. I am a believer in elegance. Therefore I don’t do trends. I think when you are in the public domain and in the business of selling things classic style’s should prevail. I think by allowing this “nail art” is another example of how people as I’ve said on another thread doing whatever they want and that’s why we see few and far between classy people and more slobs.

I believe it was Jill Bauer (when she worked at QVC), always had perfectly manicured natural nails.

They always looked beautiful also.

Well stated.  It's sad that the younger generations are completely unaware of the elegance that made life so special.   

The Art Deco era comes to mind.  Such beauty!

I guess we can say that The Dumbing Down of America has been a roaring success!

I don’t think QVC knows where it’s going right now. They are trying to stay relevant. They are also trying to entice different demographics. Long pointy nails are a trend, so they have jumped on board.

Their base demographic is dwindling, and so they are trying to reinvent.   

The problem is they are selling things the younger demographics aren’t going to be interested in. Susan Graver, Denim and Company etc.

They are also an outdated model.

I agree Magpie. How about jeans torn to pieces and patches? These are the jeans we threw out.  When i visited Europe a couple of years ago, you could unfortunately spot Americans because they looked like slobs.
