I was watching--I think it was either QVC or JTV the other day, and the host was blathering on about a bracelet. It was beaded--sort of like a string of pearls--and she went on and on about how pretty the beads were, blah blah blah.
Then I noticed that the beads were NOT individually knotted in between and all I could think of was how there'd be a million beads all over the place if the string were to break.
Then I noticed how cheap the price was. Now I know why--they didn't put in the extra effort to secure the beads.

@GoneButNotForgotten If they had knotted between the beads, it would no longer be an inexpensiive item. A cheap bracelet would then be a costly one. Have you ever seen a cheap bracelet with knots between the beads? I haven't.

@GoneButNotForgotten Pearls and other gems should be knotted mainly because as the bracelet or necklace is worn, the beads knock together and can chip or break.
Of course, the less expensive bracelet craze now is the stones on elastic. Not sure they last too long.
