@SaveTheTurtles   Thank you 😊. I think all shades of tanzanite are beautiful.  I have another picture of the second ring that shows some flashes of the purple.  I think it depends on the lighting too.  That's why I took them outdoors.  I have another ring and a tennis bracelet that are lighter and show more purple.

@Enufstuff   Thank you so much 😊.  I really do love tanzanite.

That is a gorgeous ring. Mine is not that large. The tanzanite is a triangle cut along with baguette and round diamonds. Bought it in the Virgin Islands about 25 years ago.

@chrystaltree    Thank you so much.😊. I just love them.  It's a shame I don't go out enough to really get to wear them that often.  Lots of times I'll just wear different pieces around the house lol.  I'd like to have some earrings too, but I'm gonna have to wait a bit lol.

Tthey were sold as AAA stones, but the sellers said they thought AAAA was what they actually were.  My local jeweler said the same.

I think the older pieces are deeper in color.  They still sell some of the "Block D", but for the most part the lighter color like you mentioned is what's out there.

I often wear my good jewelry around the house.  It makes me happy.  One day last week I decked myself out on my good pearl jewelry and I kept looking at myself all day.  Lol.

I remember when the Standard for tanzanite was to be a deep blue stone with purple/red  flashes.  The paler pieces were lesser quality.  Move on a few years and whaddya know All shades of tanzanite are great.  Marketing, gotta love it.

I have one small stone of the darker color. I'm not loving the softer shades.

But I do think that the pale Tanzanite seems to somehow have more sparkle to it than most other stones of the same size and cut.  so that's a plus.

It is mostly heat treated, and it becomes all shades of blue.

That stone in that size, would probably be a hefty down payment on a house!! The finished stone would be alot smaller but that color---amazing!! I have a few stones I bought years ago when it was first brought to the public--not as intense as the one here but a pretty, dark   blue- purple  color.
