Ripka Pricey Necklaces without Presentation Boxes

Just received the Ripka TSV Interchangeable Clad Pearl necklace and was immediately surprised and disappointed that it did not arrive with a presentation box...just a fabric necklace snap pouch with plastic bag holding half of the necklace...CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. I was disappointed recently when my truffle bead necklace also arrived without a presentation box, but this time I felt for sure that a $428 necklace would come with a presentation box. I guess the beautiful and sturdy packaging has been eliminated and I'm not happy about it. Even the boxes are coming crushed since they are only in an envelope which is then stuffed into my mailbox. Used to be the boxes were left at my front door with beautifully packaged items inside. I store my necklaces in those presentation boxes carefully stacked in a drawer containing my "treasures," no more I guess. Anyone else disappointed?

Hi Weatherfield, I am sorry for your disappointment. It certainly lessens the excitement of getting something new when the presentation of the of the item is not what you were expecting.

I did not order the TSV, but perhaps someone else (Waterbaby?) who did, will post as to whether she received it in a presentation box. If someone else received their necklace in a nice box, you should be entitled to the same and should call CS and request that one be sent to you.

Enjoy wearing your new necklace.

Thanks Jersey Girl! I live right across the river in PA. The necklace is lovely and clever. I really tried not to buy it due to the cost, but my "bad girl" side won out and here it is in all its glory! I might have to resort to eBay for the presentation box. I intend to try using a link that opens to shorten the length of the dew drop necklace if it will fit through the extender links. That necklace has a 2 inch extender but only the end and the middle link will accept the clasp and I usually need it short with my necklines.

No presentation box on mine either. No instruction booklet either as they kept saying that we would receive to show the different configurations of the necklace! Also, gold byzantine bracelet from gold rush ($1000+) in a generac box. Glad that it wasn't a gift!

Loved it when the double presentation boxes were common. Miss that very much.

personally i dont need the presentation boxes.....they get recycled or donated. i dont keep them at all.....they would take up way too much space.

I didn't receive the instruction booklet either; I also heard repeatedly that it came with one. And, I guess QVC is cutting back costs on packaging, but we don't have to like it! I expect more from the designers. Instead of cutting back on designer packaging, QVC should learn from them and use presentation boxes on things like your expensive necklace. Wish they'd cut back costs on shipping and handling to save customers money! Hope you are enjoying your necklace.

Hi, Sunshine! Think about reselling them! There are "needy" Ripkanistas out there like me!

QVC should ""offer"" a JR gift box as a extra cost to customers who need one.No need to reply for the cost of the necklace the gift box should be included.
