@esmeraldagooch

Thanks for posting the link!

I have a 13 carat emerald cut Ametrine ring that I purchased from a jeweler over 20 years ago. I also have a smaller Emerald cut ring, a pendant and earrings that I bought from QVC. All are beautiful, evenly split in color.

I also have a Sunrise Ametrine ring and an enhancer, also from the Q. Both large (I am guessing between 7 and 10 carats) and are oval cuts.

 Ametrine is a bicolor quartz gemstone. It is the mix of Amethyst and Citrine. It's completely natural. I have a pair of loose stones with good color saturation. My husband gave them to me as a gift.

Re: Question about Ametrine

[ Edited ]

Produced ametrine is a natural stone but the colors are not. It is enhanced (irradiated) to give it the bi-color appearance. It's what you see in the marketplace today.  A naturally bi-colored ametrine, on the other hand, is a rare find. Most people will never see, or much less ever own, one in their lifetime.
