I have several pieces of solid platinum jewelry and the most coveted pieces are my solid platinum and diamond watch.  The band is all platinum and so is the watch and it weighs right at 24 grams.  The diamonds are gorgeous!

The second coveted piece is solid platinum with a European cut diamond set in the ring. It is stunning and I wear it every day.

I have a solid platinum diamond band ring and a 1/2 carat solitaire diamond set in platinum.

My engagement ring is 14K and the eternity ring that I now wear with it is platinum.  There is a definite difference in the color.  I am often asked if it is sterling silver.  Waaah. It cost quite a bit more than sterling but at the time it was not that much more than 14K.  I understand that its usage is what is causing the price to go up so much, because it is used in technology, etc.

All of the pieces I own are from very long ago during the Art Deco Period.  I specifically wanted platinum jewelry from that Era.

I bet your eternity ring is gorgeous as I have never seen a piece of platinum jewelry I did not like.
