It's totally gorgeous.  I'm kinda obsessed now with UltraFine.  Could not resist and got the 20" elongated oval link Necklace.

This stuff shines like nobody's business, and tarnish free!!!

Don't know how anyone can go back to Sterling, when you can have this....

They showed it on QVC2 on Thursday. Beautiful!  I snapped it up.

That's when I saw it!  And I had to have it.  Just gorgeous.  I also got the 40 gram (Ultrafine)  The 70 gram one was too much.  I had to get it.  It was on clearance.  J405953

On your suggestion @songbird, I ordered a few pairs of UltraFine earrings. I get more compliments on this jewelry than my Tiffany earrings. Complete strangers have asked me about them. 😊

The big plus is how they do not tarnish and they are all well made. Thank you.🌺🥰💕

@Trinity11  They are all made in Italy. I love my pieces, but sometimes they do fade a bit over time. Probably depends on what specific factory crafts them. They're still lovely! The only ones with the ultimate finish that look great without fail are the original UltraFine .999 that QVC sold long ago.

Re: New UltraFine ring

[ Edited ]

@Sammycat1 @Trinity11  All of my Ultrafine holds up.  I think I must have polished one or two about 5 years ago.  I hate Sterling because of the care you have to put in.  I'm accustomed to 18K gold. (My mother never saw 14K till she came to the U.S.)  You wear it, put it away & never have to anything to them. And the shine remains.  I wanted the same thing with silver.

Ultrafine has less copper in it than Sterling.  Copper makes silver react.  (Gold which has copper in it, never reacts to anything.  Platinum doesn't either.  That's why they are so desirable in jewelry)  Copper makes jewelry stronger but doesn't change the color.  So that's why  copper is in  Sterling.

I understand the metallurgic principles involved extremely well and could write a technical paper on them. I have friends in the industry. And I like UltraFine, too.

There are variables, however. It's inherent in the industry. If I placed all of my UltraFine on the same surface in the same light using a camera at the proper setting, you'd see the variation in metal color. Some are almost too "chalky" white that have never changed. Some that I bought last October have already yellowed a bit.

I am fastidious in the care of my jewelry, never wear it with lotions, perfumes, hairspray, etc. Never keep it on while washing hands or doing dishes or working out or swimming or gardening.

I've loved and purchased UltraFine since the .999 days and will continue to so. So have many friends. Yet we also notice the variability,,,and that's all right.
