@sunshine 919 I've never seen it.  I didn't know much about this stone.  The only stone I have a definite opinion about is diamond.  I really don't care for diamonds, yet I own a few (my late husband) but many QVC fake diamonds.

Ever since I saw that movie (I think it was called Blood Diamond) and I read that there are many times over more diamonds in the world than any stone.  I read that companies like De Beers keep them in safes to raise up the cost of diamonds.  I don't know if that's true.....fake new...Ha!

I don't know if you ever saw my story about my friend and I?  We were at a very large Mall with lots of jewelry stores.  We walked into 2 of them and each time the people came flying over to me to try to sell me things and almost knocked down my friend.

My jewelry is kind of big and flashy and I always wear "at least" two rings (or more on each finger).  On reason I might wear 2 on the same finger is because I have large knuckles and getting them over the knuckles (arthritis) and then my fingers look a little like Porky Pig's (chubby)...

My friend's small stones on her rings cost maybe $ 5,000 but they are maybe small tanzanite, like that.  It really frustrates her but I tell her she likes the rings and that's what matters.

She always (I think she's kidding...maybe not) that we are going to get robbed because of my flashy jewelry and I always say I will tell the robbers, "Oh!  OK...give me a minute to get it off".  Ha!

Take care...sweet girl!

@sunshine 919  Just make sure the stones don't have a yellowish tinge.   Send it back if they do.   A nice Moissanite piece of jewelry is a treasure to admire and enjoy.   I have a good size ring in a heavy WG setting I got when the Shop at Home channel went out of business.   I've had people walk across a large room and ask to see it as it's so sparkly.   I've really enjoyed owning it.

Thanks Kachina, I will check the stones carefully.  Since I have never owned one I will definitely take your advice in what to look out for.  Thanks.. If you get a chance can you post a picture of yours.Smiley Happy

I have several pieces of moissanite 4 are white and one is canary.  I like them and they were a great purchase.  Sometimes I buy them already made, sometimes as loose stones and have them set.  They look more like diamonds than cz do.   The larger the stone the more likely they will have a visable greenish yellow gray tinge.

I ordered a few different styles of Moissanite from JTV....both rings were in silver yet I felt VERY expensive....$400 to $600.  The cushion main stone was ok but the side tiny stones were dull had zero sparkle....and they were rough between fingers.  The other was a invisible set ring...with a strange band that didn't work at all with the main ring....again in sterling.  No sparkle to my eye on this one at all....hated it on sight.  And finally the most expensive one was a retangular cut with trillion side stones...I thought for sure this one would be a knock out.  But for some reason the main stone had a slight yellowish tint...just barely there but for $600 it shouldn't have any yellow to it.  The whole ring just looked fake to my eye...they all did.  No better then the CZ's I have.

I also ordered one from Evine....Judy Crowell...had 3 smaller stones in it...sterling.  Now these stones were bright....white...had great cutting to my eye.  I just didn't like that obivious sterling silver mounting made it look fake! so back it went.

I then tried a white gold moissanite ring....thru Khol's....had a 30% off coupon....lovely ring....but very very very light weight for the money ($1000) and I swear the moissanite in it looked no better then CZ's I have!  Love Kohl's so easy to return went right back to a local store and done...easy.

There must be quality differences for sure....and maybe some of the larger solitare styles won't cut mustard....but these weren't huge stones either.

Good luck to you....I have come to think that a gold setting is best if I am going to be paying that much money.  Not sure if moissanite resale value is there...but mostly it's about the metal in that area.

Thank you! It arrived today and exceeded my expectations! The stones are clear, the setting is a nice weight, and it's beyond sparkly!

Finally got my ring and I have to say it is a sparkler.  It is a 5 band stone band.  TCW.80 although the stones are small they have a destinctive sparkle.  I like it and it is comfortable enough to be an everyday ring.  I think when they have another moissanite show I will probably get a bigger piece.  Stones are clear no dullness at all.  The stones show a lot of color. The ring is substantial.  Has a little bit of weight to it I Like the bar setting.  .Looks like it is made well.  We shall see.  Smiley Happy
