Things have changed.... the viewers of today are not into jewelry.... I remember 30 years ago QVC sold lots of dolls, teddy bears.... and the like... but things just change and that also stopped. Now it is expensive blow dryers and curling irons that the viewer wants I guess.

I'm betting it's because it is not as profitable. If I look at younger people around me, they are not wearing much jewelry. And certainly not the sort of gemstone jewelry that has been popular in the past. I see more unique artisan type pieces without gemstone.

Q shows a lot of junk jewelry but not much that I would call real jewelry anymore.  All those imports are costing Q more and we're seeing higher prices.  

And, have you looked at Q's gold inventory?  Q carries super cheap or very expensive but little in-between so it doesn't surprise me that they can't sell what they have. If you want good gold at much better prices, check out saraff dotcom.
