Now that I have received 2 sets of the stud earrings I see that I really like them.  They are great looking.  But, will the color wear off those too?  Anyone have any thoughts on this? I am thinking the color might wear off on the part of the earring that hits the ear.

i've been wearing the blue hammered stud earrings for two days and I can see a few tiny speckles of silver in one area on one of them.

I took them off to sleep, didn't shower in them, didn't use hair products and the only thing I've put on my face and neck is a moisturiser with sunblock in it. I didn't put any on my ears but I guess it could have migrated. I've only been in the house decorating so I've used nothing else.

Maybe the speckles were there all along (not properly coated) and I just didn't notice them?

The other one is still OK. I'll have to see if it gets worse. Too early to tell yet.

I actually would have cancelled them but I didn't see the reports in time. I see the bracelet, the 22" necklace and the ring all have reports about the blue color coming off now and another ring review also mentions the rose and gunmetal but it's not clear.

It will be a shame if I have to return them as they're actually really nice earrings. Gorgeous color and very comfortable. I don't really want to part with them. I want to wear them with my navy winter coats!

I ordered the rose ones too but have not worn them yet.

I am wearing the gunmetal one 24/7 starting a few days ago.  In the shower etc.  Whatever is happening to some of these pieces i am guessing it is a batch manufacturing error ( like they took it to temperature to get the color, but the subsequent curing process was faulty) or some body chemistries react to the coating.  Right now i see nothing.

Re: JAI Colored Box Chain

[ Edited ]

When this thread first started showing the bad reviews I cancelled my order for the blue bracelet to be shipped on 11/30.  This was to be my first JAI peice and my first order with the Q. since March 2011.  I will try another JAI first later, maybe.

@beckyb1012 I would have done the same thing!  What has happened to some of the blue pieces is weird. Dont want to be selfish, but i hope my rose and gunmetal pieces will not be effected!

I ordered the "navy" colored box chain bracelet in a small (I usually take 6-3/4). It just arrived!

A bright deep color, like indigo denim. Now wearing it stacked with my JAI silver box chain, my Or Paz roses tennis bracelet, a lapis/silver bracelet . . .

Love it. (I actually ordered a back up. When I really love a piece of jewelry and plan to wear it weekly, if not daily, I want a back up.)

Also my new Brahmin Lapis Lazuli bag just arrived in the same delivery. Denim/blue heaven! Sigh.
