You went ice water rafting?

I could have phrased it better!  The water was ice cold and we went white water rafting.  It was glacial melt water and we wore wetsuits!  It was scary at first and then it became so exhilarating that i forgot i was scared to start.  It was amazing.

I'd love to try that!  How rough was the water? Have you white water rafted before?  How long was the excursion?

No i had never done it before.  I don’t know what class it was but it was up in the air rough in lots of places.  The guides did all of the steering.  We just hung on.  I think it was a couple of hours.  They had a photographer stationed above the canyon to take pictures.  We had a couple of people (men) that bailed for the gentle float trip when they told us we would be wearing wetsuits.  I almost joined them.

@patbz.  I don't think wild horses could survive in Alaska.  Until recently the weather has been too harsh.

I am a JAI fan, but there is nothing in this new collection that I like,  In fact, many of he pieces look like they are for a man rather than a woman.

@sashamatthews  ITA it is way to masculine for me.

Re: JAI Brand New Alaska Collection

Dear Scott,

I have been to Alaska many, many times.  In fact another cruise this summer.  Have been going for decades.  Is it possible to have the sea otter, whale designs out before my next trip in June?  You certainly would make many travelers and cruisers happy.  I hope you are including bears and moose, and mountain goats.  A bear with a salmon in its mouth would be perfect.

How about a wave design bracelet??  I would love to see a sea otter pendant with the males around the outside, next the females and the kits (babies) in the center.  This in a circle pendant.  I know that its become so popular with tourists as more ships are dedicated to it each year.  I see and do different adventures every time we go.  Hope you will be able to go again and take a fabulous cruise with amazing tours throughout the inside passage.  Very different than up North.  Go in June's end before the mosquito's arrive.

Can't wait for your design's.

Another vote for whales, bears and/or salmon.  A little more femine touch would also be appreciated.

Looks like it didn’t do very well.  There are no sell outs, and only four waitlists i think, and three of the four are from the new 3.7 mm box chain and the two tone basket weave earrings.  I did order the 24 inch 3.7 mm box chain, my first necklace in Jai, the petite elephant enhancer on clearance, and the green quartz ring also on clearance.  I was tempted by the square basket weave hammered omega backs but decided they would wait for another time.  But none of the Alaska Collection was for me.  I think the timing for his show sucked coming right on the heels of Gem Day and likely affected sales.
