Re: JAI Brand New Alaska Collection

[ Edited ]

I don’t consider myself a horseman, but i have ridden.  The images of the horses seem off to me in proportion except for the head, Spirit on the nearly $489 cuff.  Yikes.  But beautiful. The stirrup cuff and ring are more interesting to me.  However this am they posted the stirrup dangle earrings, and i had to laugh, because my first thought when i saw them was not of riding a horse but of that other set we have to get into over many years, LOL.  I could never wear those.  Hopefully I am the only person who sees that and they will sell out.  But for me it’s a no.  Waiting for the preview of the flowing basket weave bangle.

Re: JAI Brand New Alaska Collection

Good Morning my friends...

I’m flying up today for our upcoming QVC shows 🤗, but before I head to the airport I wanted to give you an up close and personal look at this extraordinary Spirit Horse Cuff.

The design took 2 months to carve into perfection and I used beautiful warm citrine gemstones to help bring it to life. Look how gorgeous that mane turned out....it’s could almost be a hair advertisement with how full and healthy it looks.

This is a very special design that I created for those who truly love horses and want something that they could wear that would allow them to honor and relive all the special moments that you shared together.

It’s truly a stunning piece.

This beauty will debut with the Alaska Launch on Feb 7th at 6pm ET, so please mark your calendars.

My first show up is at 1am ET on Wednesday February 6th with my good friend Mary DeAngelis QVC. I’ll have some brand new designs from your favorite Basket Weave Collection launching during this show.

See you soon...

Re: JAI Brand New Alaska Collection

Well, between the sneak peeks and the new items that are already in the system, I can safely say that my money is safe, too.

There are some pretty pieces, but overall nothing is calling my name. I've got to say that the Spirit Horse cuff (shown above) is beautifully detailed. Just gorgeous.

My dream collection would be sealife - dolphins, seahorses, starfish, etc. Now that would really rev my engine, LOL!!

I completely agree with you, but I do like the oversized basketweave bangle you posted.  I won't be buying as I already have the regular basketweave bangle.

Have to say, I like the bangles better than the cuffs.  I feel like sizing has to be more precise with a cuff, and since the Q can never be consistent even within specific jewelry lines, they are usually a no for me.

I agree that the horses do not look right.  They look strange to me.  I like southwest jewelry, but these horses are not tempting me at all.

I am so excited, last month I ordered the 2.7 mm box chain bracelet because I wanted to wear the James Avery Mothers Love small charm on the clasp. And while I loved the bracelet and was going to keep it, awhile ago I noticed he made a new one 3.7 mm box chain which I think will be the perfect size. I am returning the 2.7 mm tomorrow and already ordered the 3.7 mm. I can't wait to get it.

I am a lifelong lover of horses; I've owned and ridden horses for years in my past life.  However, they are not an animal i closely associate with Alaska.  Kentucky, yes; Texas, yes and other places.  With the abundant wildlife, beautiful creatures, why horses?  I'm very disappointed in Scott's initial offerings which even use equestrian equipment as motifs.  Alaska?  I think not.

Re: JAI Brand New Alaska Collection

Totally agree.  The spirit of Alaska?  How about wolves, eagles, bears, for a start?   Horses would never come to my mind for Alaska.  Sled dogs, maybe.  Hopefully, the collection broadens out to include more wildlife.  If not, then he really missed the boat.
