@Qtrhorse, that's where I always take mine. To a small kiosk in the mall that has been owned by the same husband and wife for the last 20 years. He's replace watch bands when jewelers told me they could not, he fixed a band I had done in a jewelry store that they botched up and did it for nothing. He also replaces ALL my batteries on all my watches, including Isaac's for $10.

LOL
I live near Amarillo, Tx population 200,000 and went to the high end jewelers nobody could change my GOLD watch battery. One mentioned sending it off to New York would take couple of wks to get back.
Like I've stated before I found a little old man in a smaller town who used what looked like a tweezer with a hook on the end and he popped the back and changed that dude in under 5 min. charged 8.00.
end of story. Hope he stays in business ! I got 2 GOLD watches LOL

My IM ceramic watches have a little pamphlet inside the box telling me where to send for a new battery, cost $8. Of course, I'll probably insure it which will add to the cost, but it's better than running all over trying to find a jeweler to do the job, IMO!
