You can compare pricing there too.
Instead of a garage sale or going to a local consignment place - the world is your market and prices tend to be higher than if you sell locally.
Please note - QVC's JR is considered fashion jewelry on eBay...prices are not as high as you might like to get!
That's because QVC's JR is fashion jewelry, by any objective standards........
I agree, where most of it's concerned anyway... Some of the silver and gemstone pieces approach fine, but the clad, fake diamonds, crystals, doublets and so on and on and on are clearly not fine jewelry. Putting it in a nice little green box with Ripka's name on the cover doesn't make it fine jewelry, no matter how much some like to pretend it does... Then again, some folks just buy it because they like it and don't really care. That's fine too, but simply because some are willing to overpay for it, doesn't mean they can expect to get a solid return when sold second hand...

As far as reselling your pieces my feeling is what ever you get is more than you have if the pieces sit in your house which is nothing.

Jewelry with cubic zirconia gemstones set in a solid precious metal setting is considered to be Fashion Jewelry according to EBay's rules. And that includes items with natural stones and CZ accents.
What are the guidelines?
To list items in the Fine Jewelry category, both the setting and the stones (if there are any) must follow these guidelines:
Allowed
Not allowed
The following kinds of items should only be listed in the Fashion Jewelry category:

Don't get hung up on that. People don't search by fashion jewelry or plated jewelry, the categories are way too big. They search by Judith Ripka ring, bracelet, whatever, narrowing it down by stone, metal, etc if they get too many results. Also, if you have an item number, some sellers use those.

As I have stated several times in the past, my Ripka is gifted to nieces, my beloved daughter-in-law, her sister, their mother and my sister-in-law.
It has worked out beautifully! Everyone is thrilled with the pieces and they send pics of their new loves to me so I can see them in their new home.
Not having to deal with selling it works for me. I get to see the joy on their faces which is priceless! ![]()
